Taj to introduce two Bahrain properties

According to the Financial Chronicle; Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, part of Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), plans to launch two five star hotels in Bahrain under a management contract. As part of its West Asia expansion, the company has formed a JV with a real estate developer to work on the two properties. The contract does not involve any capital expenditure from the Taj; however, the hotel group will receive a management fee consisting of a fixed percentage of revenues earned.

The hotels, which will be located at Mahooz and Al Jafoor in Bahrain , are located in residential areas that are in close proximity to entertainment and F&B options. Both properties might be branded under the Taj Exotica umbrella. Other current international Taj projects include properties in China , the Philippines and South Africa .
